THE PROTECTORS - Loretta / Jump The Sidewalk (Live Wire 1975)
A total obscurity released on Live Wire in 1975. I don't know anything about the Protectors, but Loretta is a good Junkshop tune with cool synth and handclaps written and produced by Keith Bonsor who also penned Zior's "Cat's Eyes" in 1972. UK issue.
Great track. I especially like the Children of The Revolution styled strings. Nice loose drumming as well. I assume the A side is a turkey?

The B side is an instrumental piece. Useless!
ReplyDeleteActually I now have the single...I am sure some of those DJ/ ebay seller guys who use the words "afro", "drum breaks", "library" and "funky" might enjoy the B side and probably sell it for £120
